The very informative back label tells me that this was grown on sand and gravel. The fruit was macerated for three weeks and then the wine aged six to eight months in oak in tuff eau caves. I really like the direct fragrance and grainy, crackling, 'taffeta' texture of this archetypal Chinon. Fresh but already appealing and far from skinny, with a refreshing light inkiness. Very successful even if not for the very long term
